The Albuquerque Public Schools Board of Education listens as they hear from community members about the new school calendar. Every member of the board expressed their frustration with the calendar, explaining that they did not have enough time to make the calendar work after new legislation signed by the governor extended their school year. Key dates from the new calendar: Teachers return to school: July 31; First day of school for students: August 3; Last day of school: May 31; Last day (TOPS schools) of school: June 10.
